Brown woven JJ Blouse

My first of this pattern from Burdastyle which has swiftly become a favorite. It's made of some sort of linen or linen type fabric (I'm not sure) and is fastened down the front with black hook and eye closures.

Laura Dress

Here it is: my alteration of the laura dress pattern for the burdastyle (Nikki Shell's) sew-a-long this fall. I filled in the collar line on the back and the front, omitted the pockets, waistband and buttons. I also added a ruffle onto the bodice front that looks rather like an off kilter bow.

Black and White ruffled Anda Dress

This is from a sew-a-long that I did this Summer on Burdastyle using the Anda pattern.

I am my great grandmother after all...

Another JJ, I have been inspired following the sewable blog, in reference to using the JJ blouse as a set of shirt blocks. This time I just did a rolled hem around the sleeve 'holes' and collar line. I added a semi-ruffled collar, and a series of ruffles in the center.

Floral Ditsy JJ Blouse

This is my second JJ. This time I used a cotton fabric with tiny blue and pink flowers, and snaps. I had the blouse layed out on the floor and was pounding the snaps in (my family became concerned, as I have been known to start construction projects) only to realize that I have made snap sized indentations into the wood floor...
Oh well, the floor is old and scratched anyway, I'm just adding more character.

Pardon the funny look on my face (I'm rather tired :) )
